Peru Street Steps

Another of my favorite themes is decay, of all sorts. The front steps of our house have been gradually decaying since we moved here in 1994, helped along by deliberate introductions of creeping plants and the odd accidental tree seedling. We finally decided that the time had come to do some repairs - so here is one last view of the decay with all the plant life and debris removed, just waiting for a cement pour. We will put some creeping plants back right away, and start the process over.
