Stairway to.....

One of the many, many stair streets in Pittsburgh. This one comes down from Mt. Oliver into Southside, and is one of the few that I climbed that sort of hangs out over nothingness. Most of them cling to the side of the hill, but about half way down, this one runs out of hill to cling to. What looks like the bottom in this photo is really a right angle turn with another good length of steps to the bottom. There are just as many steps above where I stood to take the picture, too. Standing in the middle of many of the stair streets is like being way out in the country somewhere - surrounded by trees & quiet.
